It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Jeffrey McGinnis (Cumming, Georgia), who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact John Jeffrey had on those he encountered along his journey. Though John Jeffrey may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. John D. McGinnis and Helen Nichols McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Mickey; his children, Michael McGinnis (Sarah) of Roswell and Genevieve Madonna (Frank) of Woodstock; his granddaughter Bianca Madonna of Woodstock; and his sister Melissa McGinnis, MD. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ingram Funeral Home (210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at the Sawnee View Memorial Gardens (1390 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040).
