He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Wilkie and Laura Henderson Wilkie; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Estelle Pirkle; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Wilkie, Albert, Barbara Pirkle and Carroll Pirkle.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Pirkle Wilkie; his children, Phil Wilkie (Leslie) and Susan Thacker (Lee); his grandchildren, Ben Thacker (Katlyn), P. J. Wilkie (Lauren), Will Thacker (Brittany) and Clay Wilkie (Peighton); his great grandchildren, Kinley, Abbey Thacker, Cole, Cade Thacker and Philip Wilkie; his brother Donald Wilkie; and his sister-in-law Sara Vaughan (Aubrey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
