He was predeceased by : his wife Peggy Massey. He is survived by : his son Joe Massey (Michelle); his nieces, Patricia and Kayla Morris; his brother-in-law Bo Morris (Susie Beam); and his grandson Devin Waters.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory (210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
