He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafe Howard and Annie Clyde Samples Thompson; and his son Douglas McArthur Thompson II. He is survived by: his wife Lana Gooch Thompson; his granddaughters, Ashley and Breanna Thompson; and his daughter-in-law Hope Thompson (William Pugh). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ingram Funeral Home (210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
