He was predeceased by: his parents, Gober Garner and Faye Garner; his parents-in-law, Warren G and Mildred Castleberry; and his siblings, John (Leona Garner), Bonnie (Richard Cramer), Raymond (Grace Garner), Charles Garner and Edwin (Lois Garner).
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Castleberry Garner; his children, Jeff (Gena Garner) and Julie (Kent Townley); his grandchildren, Sam Garner, Aspen and Lily Townley; his siblings, Lecy (Morris Brunson), Gladys (Donald Waldrip) and Dan (Cindy Garner); his sister-in-law Lettie Garner; and his in-laws, Phil Castleberry, Linda, Mikel Evans, Donny, Beth Castleberry, Buddy, Susan Castleberry, Earl, Rita Castleberry, Cecil, Gail Castleberry, Edna, Danny Orr, Patti and Ray Carroll. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Carl's memory to the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Sharing Ministry.
