He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Katie Lee (Burruss) and Mahlon Cleo "Doodler" Thomas; his wife Brenda Pugh Thomas of Dawson County; his children, Dr. Melissa Durand (Bert) and Seth Thomas (Resa); his grandchildren, Emily, Thomas Durand, Adelyn and James Thomas; and his siblings, Marie Moore (Sonny), Kathy Millen (Ken) and Johnny Thomas (Cindy). He was also cherished by father/grandfather to his children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home (150 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, GA 30040). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (5640 Oak Grove Cir, Cumming, GA 30028).
