It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Shippey Hinkley (Cumming, Georgia), born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 11, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" Hinkley; her parents, Edward Shippey and Helen Shippey; her sisters, Barbara Dorhamer (Raymond), Betty Kirkwood (Jack) and Nancy Isotti (Robert); her nephews, James Hinkley and David Andrew Hinkley; and her son-in-law Mike Britt.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Gail Britt of Hardeeville, SC and Jeffrey Hinkley (Lesley) of Dawsonville, GA; her grandsons, David Alexander Hinkley (Kerri) of Dawsonville, GA and Devin Britt of Beaufort, SC; and her great grandchild Annaleigh Alice Hinkley of Dawsonville, GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross.
