He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Greene Taylor and Winnie Mae McDaniel Taylor; his son Charles Mitchell "Mitch" Taylor; and his sister Jean Taylor Godsey. He is survived by: his wife Donna Lankford Peterman; his stepchildren, David Peterman, Sr. and Julie Peterman Christensen (Erik); his stepgrandsons, David Peterman II and Jackson Christensen; and his siblings, Bobby Taylor (Linda) and Joan Taylor Nicholson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
