He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilbur Newberry and Faith Laverne Bryant Newberry. He is survived by: his sons, Jonathon Newberry (Jessie) of Crawford County and Matthew Newberry of Crawford County; his siblings, Doug Newberry (Evelyn) of Haddock, Mark Newberry of Macon, Larry Newberry (Gidget) of Barnesville and Fran Johnson (Todd) of Perry, OK; and his grandchildren, Kaylie Newberry, Lily Newberry, Jailyn Newberry, Jackie Newberry and Jami Newberry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
