He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Harvey Archer and Doris Meriel Lord; and his brother Joe Archer. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Archer; his children, Danny Archer II and Sharon Patton; his grandchildren, Dominic Archer, Danté Archer, Danny Archer III, Taylor Patton, Gabriel Patton and Bryleigh Patton; his great grandchild Kayden Whiteside; and his siblings, Jimmy Archer, Connie Archer and Cathy Wheeler.
