She was predeceased by: her parents, Duncan Edward and Lora Mae Sheffield Bass; and her sons, Wendell Lamar Nation, John David Nation and George Edward Nation (Eddie).
She is survived by: her husband Claude E. Nation; her daughter Lora Mazzone (Paul) of Conyers; her siblings, Helen Simmons, Ellen Norton, Clay Bass and John Bass; and her friend Stephens. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
