He was predeceased by: his significant other Marjorie "Marge" Coker; his parents, W. A. Sutton and Josie Sutton; and his siblings, Robert Lee Sutton Sr., Linda Mae Cochran, Barbara Sue Dean and Billy Harold Sutton.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Randall Sutton (Sherrie), Robert Lee Sutton Jr., Brenda Sue Strickland and Rhonda Elaine Martin. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
