He was predeceased by: his parents, Lingee Mitchell and Lorene Mitchell; and his brothers, Jerry Mitchell, Lymon Mitchell, Laymon Mitchell and David Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Mitchell of Covington; his daughter Dee; his son-in-law Chris Smith of Marietta; his son Chad; his daughter-in-law Shannon Mitchell of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Logan Smith, Luke Smith and Rory Mitchell; his brother Dale; and his sister-in-law Linda Mitchell of Fayette, AL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
