He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Joyce Taylor Dial; his parents, Starr Dial and Eva Sockwell Dial; and his siblings, Albert Dial, Herbert Dial, Rayford Dial, Rachel Dial Cowan, Mamie Dial Garner, Martha Dial Chambers and Bertha Dial Cason.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Ballard (Terry) and Barry Dial; his grandchildren, Shane Ballard (Lisa), Michael Ballard (Kelli), Austin Ballard, Candice Ballard, Hunter Ballard (Dalton), Brady Dial and Janie Brown (Brad); and his sister-in-law Myrna Cason. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
