He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Brand and Tempie Brand; and his brother Jerry Brand. He is survived by: his wife Myrna Brand; his sons, Mike Brand (Ann) of Covington, David Brand of McDonough and Brad Brand (Monica) of Loganville; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Blake, Jessica and Alex; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Charlie. He is also survived by numerous other family members and many close friends.
