She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sheldon of Deerborn, MI and Bertha Ingram of Ballground, GA; and her brothers, Jimmy McClusky (Duke), Jerry Lee Gregory (Scooter), Robert Sheldon and Joseph Wayne Sheldon.
She is survived by: her husband Russell Johnson; her siblings, Joyce Gregory and Kenneth Dean Sheldon; and her children, Thomas Cates, Jeremy Cates, James Cates, Alicia Cates, Perry Johnson (Connie), Shannon Johnson, Heather Johnson and Kaden Staples. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a great number of nieces and nephews.
