He was predeceased by: his parents, S. M. Hay and Lois Thornley Hay. He is survived by: his son Jeff Hay; his wife Roxanne Hay; his children, Scott Hay (Shawn), Gina Hay Bryan (Mark), Cindy Taylor (Tommy) and Kristie Farrow (C. J.); his daughter-in-law Melissa Hay; and his grandchildren, Sammy, Larson, Nicole, Camille, Halle, Trevor, Sarah, Amber and Braeley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at the Covington City Cemetery.
Sam's life was grounded in his love for his family, his unwavering faith in God, and his tireless contributions to his community.
