With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Virgil Carter of Covington, Georgia, born in Dublin, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia H. Carter; his parents, Robert Lee Carter and Mattie Sue Evans Carter; and his brother Donald Carter. He is survived by: his son David; his daughter-in-law Lesley Carter; his grandsons, Matthew Carter of McDonough, GA and Christian Sewell of McDonough, GA; and his sister Sue Gladin of Milledgeville, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
