She was predeceased by: her parents, Mannen Mikel Carter and Lottie Mae Lee Carter; her husband William Mason Adams; and her siblings, Bobby Norris Carter, Cynthia Carter and Elna Carter Whitfield.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Mason Adams (Teresa); her grandsons, Robert Mason Adams (Julie) and Richard Lee Adams (Kendall); and her siblings, Francine Bennett (late Gene), Myra Tucker (late Lannie), Wanda Davis (Ken), Lawanna Cook (Eddie), Deloyce Underwood (Russ) and Roger Carter (Nola Mae). She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
