She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Idus and Mary King Bates; her husband Robert G. "Bob" Smith; her brother Larry Bates; her daughter Lisa Conner; her son-in-law Randy Conner of Covington; her grandchildren, Brandi Lee Martin, Carman Cornett, Chris Conner and Wesley Conner; her great grandchildren, Evan, Ella, Elijah, Emily, Anna Beth, Isabella, Eliza and Ginny; and her sisters, Sara Lois Harris of Juliette and Jean Park of Covington. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
