She was predeceased by: her parents, Walfred "Bartow" Hoats and Zelma Hoats; and her sister-in-law Katie Hoats. She is survived by: her husband Lucius Miller; her daughter Joy Miller Bishop (Mark); her grandchildren, Luke Anthony Bishop and Grace Marie Bishop; her brother Lewis Everett Hoats; and her nieces, Heather Lake and Amanda Chester. She is also survived by other family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Newton Baptist Church (720 Jack Neely Rd, Covington, GA 30016). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at the New Covington Cemetery.
