Julia Elizabeth Jones Hill Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julia Elizabeth Jones Hill of Covington, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 1, 2025 at the age of 108. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Jones and Pearl Akins Jones; her husband Marion Wilson Hill; her daughter Julia Anne Hill Norman; her son-in-law James Guy Norman; her son Raymond Hill; and her great great grandchild Paxton Ian Mitchell Proctor.
She is survived by: her daughter Marion "Dodie" Proctor (Philip) of Monticello; her daughter-in-law Nina Christian Hill of White Plains; and her grandsons, Guy Norman, Jeff Norman, Wesley Proctor, Sam Norman, Peyton Proctor, Marcus Proctor and Landon Hill. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services (11405 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30016). Mama Hill's life allowed her to live through the service of 20 presidents, the Spanish Flu, the Great Depression and Covid.
