He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Brewton Smith and Elliott Lavander Smith. He is survived by: his wife Linda Dixon Smith; his daughters, Laura Elliott Smith Budnick (Brian) of Atlanta and Ariail Smith Gorman (Russell) of Atlanta; his grandsons, Hampton, Brewton Budnick and Harry Gorman; and his sister Charlene Smith Crumpton of Warrenton. He is also survived by numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:30 PM at 1105 Church St, Covington, GA 30014.
