It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean P. Shepard of Covington, Georgia, who passed away on November 21, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean P. Shepard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Porter and Doris Porter (Weeks); her husbands, Ralph Jones and Harris Shepard; her stepson Tom Shepard; and her siblings, Ken, Stella and David.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Mize (Wayne), Edie Adair (David), Ralph "Buz" Jones (Andrea), David Jones (Kathy) and Kenny Jones (Maria); and her children-in-law, Sandra Wilkerson (Mickey), Cheryl Bailey (Jim), Theresa Alberts (Joe) and Cricket Shepard. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
