He was predeceased by: his father James L. Shipp, Jr.; his significant other Nancy McBrayer; his parent Alpha Lewis Shipp; and his parents-in-law, Clark Candler McBrayer and Dorothy Bowman McBrayer.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Ann Thomas of Conyers, GA; and his children, James Charles Shipp (Judy) of Idaho Falls, ID, David Linton Shipp (JeNel) of Conyers, GA, Andrew C. Shipp (Debbie) of Conyers, GA and Laura Shipp Barber (David) of Ft. Worth, TX. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and many relatives and beloved friends.
