In the sacred silence of farewell, James Henry is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James Henry's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Melton and Barbara Jean Melton (Peters); his son Jim Melton, Jr.; and his brother Van Melton. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Melton; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Shawn Freeman; his grandchildren, Amber Melton, Andrea Batchelor (Delone), Avery Freeman and Sawyer Freeman; and his sister Ann Baxter.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Milstead Baptist Fellowship Hall (1139 Usher St NW, Covington, GA 30014).
