He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Hampton and Ethel Hampton (Thantham); his daughter Virginia Weaver; and his brothers, Van and Junior.

He is survived by: his wife Wynelle Hampton; his sons, James Hampton, Frank Alverson and Greg Teixeira (Nikkie); his grandchildren, Scott, Philip, Savanah, Angie and Amber; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Hudson, Jackson and Tanner.
