She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Franklin and Robbie Cyrus Underwood; her former husband Thamon Kirkpatrick; her children, Thamon Lee Kirkpatrick, Earnest Winfred Kirkpatrick, Norman Dale Kirkpatrick and Karen Salen Kirkpatrick; and her siblings, Elmo Underwood, Joe Underwood, Arnold Underwood, Mary Grandade and Sarah Farmer.
She is survived by: her husband Hoyt Barnett of Covington; and her children, Elizabeth Kay Cole (Jim) of Creson, TX, Savoy Dean Kirkpatrick (Krystal) of Conyers, Jimmy Wesley Barnett of Macon and Marsha JoAnn Mitchell (Scott) of Monticello. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services.
