He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Shelby Taylor, Sr. and Mary Taylor (Blackey); and his siblings, Joyce Green, Elizabeth Taylor (Liz), Karen Taylor Thompson, Chester Taylor, Jr., Kenneth Taylor and Jack.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Taylor of Covington; his sons, Christopher Taylor of Covington and Gabriel (Ashley Taylor); his grandsons, Christian Taylor, Brycen Taylor and Deagan-Ray Taylor; and his sisters, Katrina Weeks of Norman Park, GA, Jean Barton of Hopkinsville, KY and Brenda Matthews of Sylvester, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
