She was predeceased by: her husband Michael D. Smith; her son Daniel Smith; and her brother Dean Miller. She is survived by: her daughters, Heidi Swafford (Brian) of Carl, Amy Hardy (Greg) of Covington, Audrey Leitner (David) of Conyers and Andrea Thomas (James) of Greenville, SC; her brothers, James Miller of New York and Mark Miller of Michigan; and her grandchildren, Joshua Swafford, Sarah Swafford, Beth Swafford, Kaylee Hardy, Hannah Hardy, Ben Hardy, Jonathan Leitner, Matthew Leitner and Abbie Thomas.
