He is survived by: his children, Charles Welton Bettis, John Bradford Bettis (Marlece) and Pamela Bettis Zuber (Bill); his close friend Mary Burt; and his caregiver Perry Carter, Jr.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
