He is survived by: his wife Irene Chong Gayton; his daughter Deborah; his son-in-law Steve Counter; his grandsons, Garrett Gayton, Shane Jackson (Kristine) and Cody Counter; his great grandchildren, Landon Gayton, Cammy Jackson, Cruz Jackson, Stephanie, Gerald Finnie, Gene, Maria Stolp, Jon, JoJo Tan, Genevieve Esther, Wellson Liew, Ronnie Roland, Caroline Francis and Keith Burdette; and also, Julio, Amalia Hernandez, Josephine Clare and Dr. C. S. Teoh. He is also survived by grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
