He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Buchanan and Maggie Buchanan (Carty); and his wife Jean Tackett Buchanan. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Shauna Carr (Torrey), Melissa Cowan (Jonathan) and Nick Carter (Katie); his great grandchildren, Austin Jones, Destinee Johnston, Abbey Cowan and Alyssa Cowan; his great great grandchild Kennedy; and his siblings, Ralph, Buzz Buchanan and Faye Starbird. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
