With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anita Abbott Mitchell (Covington, Georgia), born in Lithonia, Georgia, who passed away on October 22, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Grady Abbott and Ruth Lucille Housworth Abbott; her husband Robert L. "Bob" Mitchell; and her siblings, Hubert Abbott, Jewel Abbott, Hazel Wells, Fred Abbott, J. W. Abbott, Sequel Hadaway, Ruby Wells and Tommy Abbott.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Hovie Lister; her sons, Robert L. Mitchell, Jr. (Steve Kitchens) of Lawrenceville and David C. Mitchell (Rebekah) of Covington; her grandchildren, Lauren Lariscy (Matthew) and Andrew Mitchell; and her sisters, Ethel Abbott Lister of Tucker, Alice Abbott Frix of Lawrenceville and Joy Abbott Murphy of Lithonia.
