It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aline Merritt in Covington, Georgia, born in Corbin, Kentucky, who passed away on July 23, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lewis Marion and Edna Marion (Buhl); her husband Stanley Merritt; her daughter Patricia Lou; her siblings, Richard Marion (Barbara) and Poncho Marion (Sue) of Morley; her half-sister Louise (Thurman) of Ohio; her daughters, Linda Sue Sharp (late David Sharp) and Sheila Kay Merritt (Andria "A. T." Towne) of East Point, GA; her grandson Steve Sharp (Rebecca) of Ypsilanti, MI; her great grandchildren, David, Lexi and Lina; her sister Mary Rose Watson (Grady) of Murfreesboro, TN; and her sister-in-law Joy Hobson (late Kenny Hobson). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
