He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clyde Blackwood Nichols and Mary Crittendon Nichols of Virginia; his siblings, Jack and Sissy; his wife Cornelia "Pete" Brown Nichols; and his children, William Louis Nichols (Susan) of Forsyth, Valeria Culbreath (Gray) of Columbia and John Brown Nichols (Jodi) of Macon. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
