He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Avery; his son Chris; his daughter-in-law Carol Avery of Dawsonville, Georgia; his daughter Paula; his son-in-law Jimmy Pearson of Dahlonega, Georgia; his grandchildren, Joshua Graves, Chase Avery and Ashley Foulks; his great grandchild Alayna Mae Foulks; and his siblings, Dora Franks, Martha Juhan, Debbie Finch and Gene Avery.
Flowers accepted or donations can be made in his name to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
