With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Sanders (Cornelia, Georgia), born in Clayton, Georgia, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alford Ellenburg and Estelle Gilstrap Ellenburg; and her husband Talvern Denver Sanders. She is survived by: her daughters, Debby James Breland, Pam (David Ivester) and Judy (Ricky Barrett); her grandchildren, Dylan, Ashley James, Beth, Brian Davis, Denver, Leann Ivester, Josh Barrett and Dustin Barrett; and her siblings, George Ellenburg, Leon Ellenburg, Kay Jo Moore and Pat Callenback. She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
