He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Wooten and Mildred Wooten (Hill) of Lavonia; and his siblings, Patricia Kelly, Henry Wooten and Leon Wooten.

He is survived by: his stepson Paul Wade of Clarkesville; and his siblings, Joan (Ray Bailey), Brenda (Bill Skinner), Connie Turner of Hartwell, Wanda (Kenny Davison) and Emory Wooten of Charleston, SC.
