She was predeceased by: her parents, George P. Clower and Grace Helton Clower; her husband Robert Tanner Powers Jr.; her daughter-in-law Rebecca Gibbs Powers; her sisters, Reba Ortenburg, Ann Turner, Charlotte Sprayberry, Martha Sims and Mary Boles; and her stepfather Willie Smith.
She is survived by: her son Rick; her daughter-in-law Peggy Powers of Lakemont; her grandsons, Casey Powers (Tina) of Demorest and Chris House (Deanne) of Clayton; her great grandchildren, Corey Powers, Cassie Powers and Lauren Ryals; her siblings, Riley Smith (Jean) of Carrolton and Rachel Howell; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Powers (Barbara) of Mt. Airy, Evelyn Dickerson, Pat Brown and Joanne Powers of North Carolina. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and friends.
