She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Maynard and Mattie Carpenter Maynard; and her sisters, Betty Ray Bragg and Joann Moore. She is survived by: her husband Jim Smith of Cornelia; her children, Stacey Smith Ansley of Baldwin, James Courtney Smith of Oak Ridge, NC, Tearesa Adams of Midlothian, TX and Charles Jackson of Tampa, FL; and her sister Jean Brook of Vidalia, GA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
