She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Theodore Torgesen and Elizabeth Creel Torgesen; her brothers, Scott Torgesen and Allan Torgesen; and her stepdaughter Kathy Clarke.

She is survived by: her husband James Winston Hallford of Cornelia; her children, Goodney Zapp (Bruce Pinkard) of Cornelia, Garnett "Gary" Hulsey, Jr. (Grace) of Cornelia and Gia Hulsey of Demorest; her grandchildren, Jacob, Ivan, Scott, Seth, Cassie and Elijah; her great grandchildren, Aidan, Alice and Felicity; her sister Lela Torgesen Allen Wade (Danny) of Alto; and her close friends, Syvilla Carson Poole, Louise Tomlin McClellon, Patsy Long Patterson and Gladys McClellon Kinsey. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
