It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Haynes (Cornelia, Georgia), born in White, Georgia, who passed away on May 8, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Jiles Benson "J. B."; her husband Homer R. Haynes; her son Rocky Helton; and her brothers, Roger Jones and Merle Jones.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy (Malissa Helton), Danny Helton of Clarkesville and Sammy Holbrooks of Clarkesville; her granddaughters, Roxanne Helton of Andy Holbrooks, T. J and Samantha Willard; and her sister Brenda Hart of Midland, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
