Odell James Nix Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Odell James Nix of Cornelia, Georgia, born in Habersham, Georgia, who passed away on June 25, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Nix and Nancy Amy Tomlin Nix; his wife Willoree Chapman Nix; his sister Marcelle Nix Miller; and his son Lynn Rothell Nix of Demorest.
He is survived by: his children, Ansel J. Nix of Cornelia, Ricky L. Nix, Melinda (Charles Harris) and Rhonda (Doug Fowler); his half-brother Cleve Allen of Mt. Airy; and his brother-in-law Garnett Chapman of Carlton. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Due to the concerns around COVID-19, the family will have a Private Graveside Service in concern for the well being of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Nix's memory to the Wounded Warrior's Project.
