He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Merideth Turpin and Hazel Cross Turpin Galloway; his brother Stanley; his sister-in-law Karen Turpin; his sister Sharon; and his brother-in-law Gus Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Lou Hellen Densmore Turpin; his daughter Shirley; his son-in-law Richard Creech of Hollywood; his brother Bruce; his sister-in-law Lula Turpin of Clarkesville; his sister Debbie; and his brother-in-law Ken Edwards of Gainesville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
