He is survived by: his wife Rhonda; his children, James Blakely Butterworth (Amy) of Demorest and Boen Butterworth Nutting (Mike) of Mooresville; his stepson Neil Davis (Kristin) of Demorest; his grandchildren, Blake, Michael, Claire, Sam, Jack and Cate; and his brother Dr. Jack Butterworth (Nancy) of Bristol.
