He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Scott, Sr. and Charity Moss Scott; his sister Maggie Gibson; his cousin Mildred Moss; and his son Tony Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Swilling Scott; his daughters, Sandra Wilson Holloway of Stone Mountain, Beverly Scott of Los Angeles, Maria Scott (Michelle) of Cornelia and Pamela Hardeman (Charles) of Commerce; his daughter-in-law Denene Scott of Lawrenceville; his grandchildren, Tinisha Combs, Darius Maxwell, Joshua Scott, Selethia Gregory (Steven), Amberly Evans (Jarrell), Nyah Williams, Hannah Scott, Ryan Taylor (Jaylene) and Erin Taylor; his cousin Joyce Latner; his close friends, Marvin and Ben; and his cousin Ralph Beckham (Kenny Pettijohn). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
