He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell Morgan and Annabell Morgan; and his son David Truett Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Morgan of Baldwin; his daughter-in-law Beverly Morgan of Cornelia; his daughter Nancy; his son-in-law Bryan Zimmerman of Cornelia; his children, Dennis "Tater" Morgan of Cornelia and Paula; his son-in-law Seth Larsen of Toccoa; his daughter Jeannie; his son-in-law Michael Garrett of Clarkesville; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Morgan, Joseph Morgan, Megan Zimmerman, Emelia Larsen, Ethan Larsen, Kalebbe Garrett, Quentin Garrett, Cameron Garrett and Karina Garrett. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren; numerous other family members.
