He was predeceased by: his parents, Griff Allison and Mary Sue Merck Allison; his son Edward Allison; his grandson Blake Allison; and his siblings, Sammy Allison, Clyde Allison, Ann Taylor and Donna Lyndsey.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lynnette Allison of Cornelia; his sons, James (Lori Allison) and Chris (Tracy Allison); and his grandchildren, Griff Allison, Brittany Allison, Mason Allison and Skylar Allison. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
