He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Maney Stephens; and his sister Brenda Sue Stephens. He is survived by: his father Junior Stephens of Lula; his son Jerry "Jay" Hawkins of Gainesville; his grandchildren, Trenton Hawkins of Gainesville and Bailey Hawkins of Gainesville; and his sisters, Bernice Hatcher of Cornelia, Grace Hardy of Lula, Mae Stewart of Lula and Betty Turpin (Roy) of Gillsville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
